So maybe it is not all that surprising that we here at Part Haven are supports of our right to fix the products that we own. At the very heart of the matter beyond all the politics of our right to fix things is parts availability.

With Computers outliving their planed life expectancy we run into a real problem. Most OEM’s only produce enough spare parts to service their products through their warranty periods. This most often leads to new parts availability of only 3 years.

If we do not maintain our right to repair, anything beyond the Manufactures Warranty faces a premature call to obsolescence.  Without parts, maintenance cannot happen and perfectly capable equipment becomes e-waste.
